Offering earlobe repair consultations and surgery in Danbury, New Milford, Norwalk, Ridgefield and throughout Fairfield County Connecticut

Split, torn or elongated earlobes are a common problem we see in our plastic surgery practice. Typically the split is the result of the earlobe being torn from an accident, such as getting an earring caught, gauges causing a wide, elongated piercing hole. In other instances, the split may result from a slow tearing of the skin in someone with diminished skin strength from frequently wearing heavy earrings.

Earlobe repair requires a quick, in-office surgical procedure performed using a local anesthetic. No sedation or general anesthesia is required. It should be done by a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon to ensure complete, safe and proper repair for the best possible outcome.

Sutures are removed after one week and an earring can be placed in any remaining hole one month after the surgery.
