Dr. Prashant Soni Named CT Top Doc Again in 2017

For the second year in a row, ASC Plastic Surgeon Dr. Prashant Soni has been named to Connecticut Magazine’s Top Docs list in 2017. The list is compiled by a survey of physicians throughout the state. We at ASC are proud to have Dr. Soni ranked among the top doctors of Connecticut.Dr. Soni earned his medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn., and did his general surgery residency at New York Medical College. During this time, he saw burn victims and was inspired by the ability to transform people’s appearance with a combination of surgery and artistry. He completed his residency in plastic surgery at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center in Salt Lake City and a fellowship in aesthetic plastic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital/Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital.

With Connecticut having the highest incidence of breast cancer, he has devoted his “heart and attention” to reconstructive surgery of the breast. He dedicates the rest of his practice to cosmetic surgery and procedures that involve body sculpting and facial rejuvenation. He does many neck and eyelid lifts and targets “the area that needs the surgical element.” Dr. Soni combines minimally invasive surgery with fillers and light chemical peels for results that make patients appear natural.

Dr. Soni is a member of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgery, An Associate Fellow of the Fairfield County Medical Association, and a Diplomate of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Soni practices at ASC’s offices in Danbury, New Milford, Norwalk, Ridgefield, and Southbury.

Connecticut Magazine’s annual survey of top doctors in Connecticut features more than 800 peer-recommended physicians in 31 areas of specialty.  Connecticut doctors themselves are asked to recommend a doctor (other than themselves) to whom they would send a loved one for expert medical care. The top vote-getters make the Top Docs listings. Doctors do not pay to make this list; only the doctors most frequently recommended by their peers are listed as Top Docs.
