Advanced Specialty Care opens location on Main Avenue

NORWALK — Advanced Specialty Care has expanded into Norwalk.
The multi-specialty medical practice opened its latest office at 488 Main Ave. It celebrated the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday evening with company executives, employees, and Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling, who welcomed ASC to the city.
“We looked at the Norwalk market as a great medical community,” Jay H. Klarsfeld, president of Advanced Specialty Care, said. “Our next progression was to provide services in Norwalk.”
Advanced Specialty Care was founded more than 30 years ago. It also has locations in Danbury, New Milford, Ridgefield, Trumbull and Southbury. The ASC group features 19 doctors. ASC’s hospital affiliations include Norwalk Hospital, Danbury Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, Ridgefield Surgical Center and Fairfield County Surgical Center.
“We believe in providing care to the whole community,” Klarsfeld said. “We accept Medicare — not every practice does — and we were recently honored by AmeriCares. The goal of this office is to serve Norwalk.”
Advanced Specialty Care’s office in Norwalk features 5,500 square feet of space with several patient rooms and waiting areas.
“We’re always happy to see a new business open,” said Edward Musante Jr., president of the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce. “This is of particular value with such a wide range of medical specialists in Norwalk — and they have privileges at Norwalk Hospital.”
Advanced Specialty Care provides a range of medical practices and surgical care, such as: pediatric and adult ear, nose, throat and thyroid; dermatology; plastic/cosmetic/ hand surgery; general surgery; allergy, asthma and Immunology; and audiology and hearing aid services.
“We have some of the best physicians and surgeons in Fairfield County with decades of experience and coordinated expertise and are delighted to bring this to residents of the greater Norwalk area,” said Advanced Specialty Care CEO Dr. Richard Lipton.
