Job Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse who is looking for a long term permanent Assistant Clinical Supervisor position in our busy plastic surgery practice.
OBJECTIVE:
The Assistant Supervisor should be able to demonstrate the ability to assess the full scope of patient needs, using the nursing process on a continuous basis while demonstrating accountability for nursing practice through planned & continuous professional growth and development. This individual will be a direct support to the Clinical Supervisor as a Team Lead in the Supervisor’s absence. Requires travel to our Danbury, Ridgefield, and Norwalk offices.
- Wound care
- Sterile set ups and procedures
- Patient education
- Performs independent nurse functions based on practice policies and standards
- Work collaboratively with other clinical team members
- Provides assistance to the Clinical Supervisor
- Patient communication and telephone calls
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Minimum of 3 years of LPN work experience in a medical setting, preferably a plastic surgeons office
- Prior surgical experience a plus
- Prior supervisory experience a plus
- Bilingual a plus
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Current CT LPN State license
- Current BLS Certification
- Must be able to identify and respond to emergencies and support approximately 50 — 100 pounds
- Proficient with use of Electronic Health Records
- Travel maybe required to all satellite locations
- Monday through Friday
- Minimum 36 hours per week
- Candidate must be able to work a flexible work schedule
