Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Medical Scribe / Medical Assistant (CMA/RNA) to work in the Danbury and Norwalk offices of our busy, multi-specialty private practice.
 
OBJECTIVE:

The successful Medical Assistant/Scribe will be responsible for documenting accurate and detailed information of patient visits. The ideal candidate will provide the highest quality customer service to
patients, adhere to practice protocols and processes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Accompanies physician during consultation and examination transcribes details of the physical exam per physical instruction utilizing medical terminology and documentation guidelines within the electronic health record.
  • Completes all necessary documentation of the patient encounter in the medical chart including entering orders as dictated by the physician.
  • Room patients.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficient in typing/data entry
  • Excellent spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication
  • Must be able to listen to complex medical information and summarize in a clear, complete, and concise fashion with the ability to multi-task
  • Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments to the extent required to understand and accurately transcribe dictated reports and correctly translate medical abbreviations into their expanded forms.
  • Must be able to stand; sit; walk; use hands to type for extended periods of time
  • Must have a high level of professionalism and maturity 
  • Must be able to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to work independently and able to work in a fast paced environment 
  • Medical Scribe certification preferred

REQUIREMENTS:
  • CMA/RMA Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of scribe experience
  • Travel is required between Danbury and Norwalk satellite offices
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Electronic Health Records experience

SCHEDULE:
Monday thru Friday (variable schedule) with NO weekends (36-40 hours per week)
 
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience
$300 sign on bonus after 6 months of employment
